POST-SEASON ACCOLADES FOR COCA-COLA PARK
|

|
The return of professional baseball to the Lehigh Valley for the first time since 1960 was met with remarkable community support, unprecedented excitement and unrivaled fanfare in 2008. By becoming one of just six Minor League franchises to surpass the 600,000 mark for total attendance, the IronPigs emerged as one of the top draws and premier franchises in Minor League Baseball. Coca-Cola Park, the foremost baseball and entertainment venue in the Minors, drew rave reviews for its intimacy, fan-friendly atmosphere and architectural design. Bolstered by the success of Coca-Cola Park and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, the International League also established a single-season attendance record this year, breaking the seven-million fan threshold (7,097,411) for the first time in the league’s 125-year history.
The ballpark was designed by HOK an industry leader that has built the most renowned ballpark in baseball, including Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia and Camden Yards in Baltimore.
Coca-Cola Park features dozens of fan-friendly amenities, including:
360-DEGREE CONCOURSE
Nothing beats the open-air atmosphere at a baseball game. Coca-Cola Park is one of just a handful of Minor League ballparks to boast a 360-degree concourse -- allowing patrons to take advantage of family-fun amenities without missing a pitch.
GROUP EXPERIENCES
Groups enjoy preferred seating and can take advantage of special areas, including the PPL Picnic Patio, Party Porches, Dugout Suites and the Team Suite. For more information on booking a group outing, call (610) 841-PIGS.
HOME RUN FUN
The icon of Coca-Cola Park comes to life following every IronPigs home run. The giant Coca-Cola bottle on top of the videoboard, towering 90-feet above ground level, shoots fireworks and illuminates the sky.
PERFECT FOR KIDS
The Sacred Heart Hospital Kids Zone features a free playground area. In addition, children can take advantage of a number of games, including speed pitch, slides and more.
