Three IronPigs Promoted to Philadelphia

A trio of Lehigh Valley IronPigs were promoted to Philadelphia as a result of Major League rosters expanding on Monday.  The three new additions --INF Mike Cervenak, 1B Andy Tracy and LHP Les Walrond -- all had stints with the Phillies earlier this season.

Thank You Fans: Pigs Surpass 600,000

Following the Lehigh Valley IronPigs' sold out home finale, the yearly attendance total at Coca-Cola Park rose to 602,033 fans.  The team became one of just five Minor League franchises to surpass the 600,000 mark for total attendance so far this year and have emerged as one of the top draws in Minor League Baseball.  In 71 regular season home dates, the IronPigs averaged 8,479 fans per game – a staggering number that actually exceeds Coca-Cola Park’s fixed seating capacity of 8,089. 

IronPigs Unveil 2009 Full Season Schedule

(Allentown, Pa.) – The Lehigh Valley IronPigs announced their 2009 schedule today.  The team will open their second season at Coca-Cola Park on Thursday, April 9 against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees. The first homestand runs through April 16 and features four games against both the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees and the Syracuse Chiefs.


IronPigs Swept By Sox in Final Road Series

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs ended their inaugural season on a down note as the Pawtucket Red Sox swept them in a two-game Labor Day series from McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, R.I.  Dave Huppert’s club dropped their series finale to the Paw Sox, 9-2 on Monday afternoon to finish the 2008 campaign with a 55-89 record
