IronPigs Parking and Traffic Information

IronPigs Home Opener Parking and Traffic Information

Additional Parking Spaces and Mass Transit Offered in Effort to Alleviate Parking Concerns

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs have taken numerous steps, including the expected completion of a new parking lot, to help alleviate parking issues in and around Coca-Cola Park for the home opener on Friday, April 11 at 7:05 p.m.
“Ensuring a better experience for our fans when traveling to and from Coca-Cola Park has been our top priority since the sold-out exhibition game on March 30,” stated IronPigs General Manager Kurt Landes “The IronPigs, the city of Allentown and Lehigh County are committed to addressing these issues and reducing any parking and traffic concerns.”
The additional lot, located beyond the left field wall off IronPigs Way, is currently under construction and is expected to be completed Friday. The new lot (temporarily gravel), which will be paved in the near future, creates an additional 215 parking spaces.
To help expedite the parking process and limit traffic, fans are reminded to form two lanes when approaching Coca-Cola Park on American Parkway prior to turning left onto IronPigs Way.  To reduce bottlenecks, IronPigs Way becomes a one-way, two-lane road (in the direction of traffic) before and after all IronPigs home games.
Fans are reminded that there are three entry points for parking and are encouraged to use the Dauphin Street entrance when traveling from downtown Allentown.  In addition to the Dauphin Street entrance, entry to Coca-Cola Park can also be gained off American Parkway and Union Boulevard.  Preferred/Handicapped Parking access is available via American Parkway only.
The cost of parking for all IronPigs home games is $3 per vehicle.
In addition, downtown commuters and fans are encouraged to use Mass Transit supplied by LANTA in both Allentown and Bethlehem on Friday.  The information below applies to Friday, April 11 only.
The Allentown Parking Authority is offering free parking at the Allentown Transportation Center, located at 6th and Linden Street in Allentown for those that utilize LANTA shuttle service to Coca-Cola Park.   The shuttle will run from the Allentown Transportation Center every half-hour from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.  Return service from Coca-Cola Park begins at 9:30 p.m. and continues every half hour until 11 p.m.  The reduced round-trip rate for LANTA service to and from Coca-Cola Park is just $1.00 per person.
Additional shuttle service and free parking is available for commuters traveling via the Bethlehem Transportation Center located at Guetter Street (between Broad and North).  Shuttle times are identical to the Allentown schedule listed above and the reduced round-trip rate for LANTA service to and from Coca-Cola Park is just $1.00 per person.
