| IRONPIGS EXPAND CAPITAL BLUE CROSS HEALTHY FAMILY FUN MENU |
| The Lehigh Valley IronPigs announced that the Capital BlueCross Healthy Family Fun menu has been expanded to now include “Aw Shucks” Roasted Corn and sweet potato fries. |
| “Aw Shucks” Roasted Corn, when served without butter, is both low in fat and an excellent source of Vitamin B and Vitamin C. Additionally, corn is an excellent source of fiber which has been shown to help lower cholesterol levels and help reduce the risk of colon cancer. “Aw Shucks” Roasted Corn, Inc. is a family-owned business serving customers in the Lehigh Valley since 1998. |
| Sweet potato fries are considered a healthier alternative to regular fries because sweet potatoes are rich in vitamins and nutrients. In addition to being rich in the antioxidant beta-carotene, sweet potatoes provide a very good source of vitamin C and manganese, as well as copper, dietary fiber, vitamin B6, potassium and iron. |
| These menu additions were initiated by Liz Stein, founder of Appetite for Healthy Living, a New York based health and wellness practice. Stein is a Board Certified Holistic Health and Nutritional Counselor through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). | In addition to the fresh new menu offerings, the Capital BlueCross Healthy Family Fun menu also includes a daily salad and fruit salad selection, grilled chicken sandwiches, bottled Dasani water and 2% milk. |
