2010 GRANT PROGRAM UNDERWAY
Established in 2007, before the Lehigh Valley IronPigs ever played an International League game, IronPigs Charities (IPC) was created to provide educational and recreational opportunities to Lehigh Valley youth.  IPC is the philanthropic arm of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and uses baseball as an avenue to create new and strengthened partnerships that will progress the lives of children and adults across the Lehigh Valley.  In order to provide assistance to local non-profits IPC established a grant program.  Grants are awarded to organizations that provide educational and recreational opportunities to Lehigh Valley Youth.  IPC Grants are awarded to 501c3 organizations.  Grants support specific programs and does not support general expenses.
IPC makes financial grants to non-profit, tax exempt 501 (c)(3) organizations in the Lehigh Valley.  Grants are awarded to non-profit organizations related to youth education and youth recreation.  Unfortunately, not all funding requests can be granted.  Also, there are activities and programs that are not consistent with the IPC guidelines.  Among those are requests for buildings, endowments, employee salaries, political campaigns and activities, religious programs, individuals or fraternal organizations.  IPC will only consider requests that are tied to a specific project.  Grants in 2010 will range from $2,500-10,000.  In 2009, IPC distributed $53,000 in grant funds, and expect that number to increase for 2010.
REQUIREMENTS:  Interested organizations should complete the grant application (ABOVE).  Only complete grant applications will be considered.  Please also note the October 28 proposal deadline.  Grant applications can be downloaded with Adobe Reader.  Please note that by using your keyboard you can fill in the form via your computer on Adobe Reader.
